Thanks for all the feedback on my mini-tale of Smitty, the lost rookie. That was a totally ad hoc, seat of the pants creation, based on a handful of photos taken at a (truly) scary, abandoned complex. The feedback tells me there could be some interest and some fun to be had with a serialized, daily photo, drama.

But only The Shadow knows for sure...

  • A turgid canal ran through the abandoned property, and right under the building. We dragged it for two days, but no sign of Smitty. I have a feeling this case will be cold for a long time.<br /> 12/9/09

    (I think a person progresses on photography to where there is a consistent theme, look, and feel to a gallery, ie, your Smitty series - recommend that you continue and start a gallery of the series, but keep safe)
