• Dad, in his element
4/1/2010
Since 1956, this part of the basement has been Dad's shop area, where he put his many skills to work. For me growing up, it was a wonderland of tools and parts, electronics and gadgets, where I spent untold hours first imagining great inventions, and later learning some of the skills my Dad possesses, (but never close to his levels).

Last night, after bailing out the basement for the third night in as many weeks, he and I paused to take a break, and this was the scene.

Amazing, wonder how long until the kids will be able to use the fields again. Hopefully we will not see any further rain for a while!
