This is not a pond, but rather a soccer field and playground.  Heavy rains over three days last weekend flooded much of the Northeast, and deep waters remain almost a week later.

    I love pictures like this...what I call beach geology or micro-geology. This one has a wonderful gradation from dark to light, and such sharp detail.

    This is such a great shot. wonderful textures and I love the brown fading to blue (is that the sky reflecting in the sand, or some other quirk of nature?) Great eye to capture such a beautiful scene.
