Many commented on the warm tones. I'd love to take creative credit for that, but that golden hue was the result of shooting in the light of what I think was an uncommon type of street lamp, using auto-WB. I started to correct the tones in PP but decided it looked better that way. That's what I'll call a "happy accident!"

This notebook is known for it's super shiny black finish and it's propensity to attract fingerprints.<br /> <br /> I think I've found another use.

Hovey Co. and found:<br /> <br /> The earliest reference I found was of Horatio Atwell Hovey who was born in 1820 and "worked for several years in the butter trade in his father's stall in the Faneuil Hall market... and at 21 became a partner with his father."
